Cape May Seashore Lines - Nov 2002

These photos are of Cape May Seashore Lines' RDC-1 #M-407 operating the first service of the day from 4-H Fairground to Cape May City and return on Saturday November 9th 2002. I was very fortunate to have a lovely fall day with the colors still at their height.

The Cape May Seashore Line runs between Cape May City at the southern end of the New Jersey Cape, and the 4-H Fairgrounds approximately 15 miles north up towards Vineland NJ. The photos included here were taken mostly at the 4-H Fairgrounds station as southbound train 301 (10am depart, to Cape May City) prepared to depart on a bright Saturday morning. The last two were taken at Cape May City station and the storage line at Cape May Courthouse respectively. The storage line contains a number of RDCs yet to be restored to operational condition.

I visited the line on the 9th of November 2002, when M-407 was running the normal weekend services.
